woo good game.  excellente voice acting and they improved just about every gameplay aspect.  guns with clips now, reduced the cd on biotics, simplified the inventory management system, etc.  good stuff.  best part though is the game works out of the box...i dont remember the last new pc game i bought that I didn't have to wait to be patched before i could play it.

Yup great game so far. I kinda wish I wasn't a soldier though. Although the different types of ammo are useful when you run into a mech with all the different types of armor haha.

yar soldier too but i kinda wish i picked adept instead since you can actually use your biotics to pew pew effectivfely now.  did you import your me1 toon?  urge to replay pt 1 just so i can see what effects it has on pt2.  only annoying part so far how you gather minerals..scanning is boring and takes too long and having to buy probes all the time is also annoying....and gas, having to buy gas is stupid too.

Yeah I imported my ME1 toon that I played through hella quickly. I lost my original save file where I finished almost everything in ME1 when I formatted my computer, so basically played through it for the major decisions.

The planet scanning is stupid because it's so slow, but you need to do it so that you don't get owned without upgrades so you're kinda SOL haha.

And there's a lot of small quests in part 2 that are affected from part 1. Some people remember whether you did a quest for them or if you screwed them over in the original.

I don't think there are any elevators haha. And you can skip cutscenes in this one too!

yes yes, what luhn said.  no elevators!  damn element zero is hard to come by...so far only found enough for 1 tech upgrade.

lol, i remember messing with some NPC that ended up talking shit about how he's gonna get back at me. wonder if he'll be attacking me or something in me2.

hmm the more i play the more i feel they simplified things too much...its more like they dumbed everything down for the consoles.  limited # of weapons, you can't change or upgrade the armor of anyone except shephard, skill tree reduced to 4 or 5 skills and no real loot to collect.  come on i r loot whore and my ass itches when I can't collect the shinys.  still fun just too simple imo.

i feel like that would be a better change. I was annoyed having to change the weapons of the teammates when it was almost always just same thing that I'm using myself also.

They said the main thing they wanted to do was cut down on the clutter of having to micromanage everyone's inventory. Feels like they made it a lot better but you don't really do anything differently as you go through the game. My soldier basically just rifle'd down anything in the way.

I beat the game and am trying the adept now =)

And yeah, pretty much any decision you made in the original game affects this one.
