bug in the system!  with blaming me...HA!

Edit:  I went back to try and see if there was an error with my original post and I'm still not seeing the broken link.  Other coworkers see the post just fine.

you linked an image that is on your local drive. you probably don't see the broken image because firefox (for some weird reason) does not show the fact that something is broken. load up your post in IE and you'll see the error.

i dont think theres any real differences. basically theres 3 ways to "write" chinese due to china trying to reform written chinese so more ppl can learn to read/write. There's traditional, simplified...and something else i dunno what its called. first version is probably traditional (lots of strokes) and the other one is either simplified or the other one. I suggest the traditional version oh.

Actually i just looked it up and the "other" version is just the way the japanese use chinese chars (kanji)

Both were same meaning and pronunce are different. You can say its different spelling.

the 1st one is traditional. (Hong Kong, Taiwan use chinese traditional.) The 2nd one is JP Kanji.

btw, the simplifie one is totally different looking(spelling) with traditional and kanji ver.

First one means Dragon, the Chinese Dragon

Second one basically means something else, it is an old phrase that does have something to do with dragon as well though.  It usually means that someone is really good at painting/drawing, that he/she could turn the painting alive.  Chinese people believe that eyes is where spirit at.  When you are painting something (usually dragon or tiger), eye(s) is always the last thing that you add to it, and that is the key to turn the whole thing alive (to give it spirit).  Nowadays, it is just something to say to people who can do something really really good with ease, if you are old school.  4 Parts to the phrase each means, drawing, dragon, point, and eye(s).
