And yes, I'm up waayy too late. A 5 minute phone call turned into a 2 hour escapade, and it's hard to sleep when something that should be a no brainer ends up being a customer support nightmare.

Before this, I've never had issues with d-link, but this has turned me off from them now.

btw, is the bluetooth headset still use a push to talk you set up w/ your vent? does the bluetooth headset get any ingame sounds or just the sounds in vent?

The bluetooth can get in game sounds, but to save battery life, I decided just to make it a wireless mic.
Windows treats it as a seperate audio device, and therefore, so does every other application. Make that application use that audio device and it should work flawlessly.
Should.

I actually picked up a belkin bluetooth adapter and played around with it yesterday. It has a "battery saving feature" which I like. It does delay sound sent to the headset, but when in ventrilo, it seems to be smart enough to keep the mic portion turned on.

I won't blame d-link for that.

the dlink model, the one you returned, had horrendous reviews. ppl were saying how terrible it is and it doesn't even work w/ vista.
