damn i could use some popeye's too....at my last job most of my sales staff was from Compton or the Ramparts area.  So you could pretty much guess what ethnicity was dominant on the sales floor.  I don't think I've ever eaten so much popeye's in my life.   that and i learned grape jelly on a sausage mcmuffin is good.

i went to the KFC because it had a drive-thru.  there is a popeyes near by and i actually prefer that over KFC but no drive thru.  also, there are Churches Chicken is around too.  though i prefer popeyes > kfc > churches.

has anyone tried Big Nate's BBQ on the Oakland/Emeryville border? I used to go to Flint's but haven't been for a while. The winner hands down is Uncle Frank's in Palo Alto, though. Everett & Jones doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence.

wt there's a big nate's in oakland? we've only gone to the one in SF where we've ran into big nate thurmond himself a few times.
