if anyone else is a hip-hop fan..
movie coming out in 2 days:
After being abandoned by his mother in his native Bahamas, rapper Chris "Kazi" Rolle spent his formative years homeless and wandering the streets of New York. Now off the streets, Kazi is making an effort to help young people in similar situations, offering an alternative to his destructive path. Produced by Bruce Willis and Queen Latifah, The Hip-Hop Project chronicles his four-year attempt to help a group of inner-city teens record a rap record. The film — which, in a rare feat, successfully appealed an initial R rating — revels in real-life inspiration, showing music's potential to help people transcend pain.
(the movie is pg-13. the MPAA downgraded it from R upon appeal, which i guess is a difficult thing to appeal/win)
