Wood Ranch BBQ

I just went here last fri for lunch.

I had their  1/2 tri tip bbq sandwich and soup lunch special + a side (i got the french fries).  All that for just $9.99.  WOW..quite possibly the best tri tip bboq sammich i ever had.  the bread was toasted to perfection but not dried out.  The trip tip was tender and moist and sliced to the right thickness: not too thin, not too thick.  i didn't find any fat on it neither. Fries were ok.. not too outstanding.  the peanut coleslaw was much better, imo.  i got the clam chowder soup but i think i'll stick to clam chowders at places that specialize in them.

so far, the closest one from OC is the one in cerritos and anaheim hills.  they also have other locations in so cal, such as the Grove,  Arcadia,  Northridge, etc.  definately a good place to have good bbq/steak.   also, its not the messy looking bbq/steak houses neither.  the decor is clean (love the arched glu-lam beams) and inviting.

there is one in walking distance from work. I always get the tri tip steak. It is like a slice of heaven.
Maybe I will go there today.
