oops its a rubios not a baja. usually my brother goes so if i remember him telling me correctly is on beach and terry in the plaza where the good guys used to be...theres suppose to be a togos there too.

1. food takes a while cuz everything is freshly made, even the tortilla. so call in ahead (their tacos are goood.. imma try the nachos next) and pick up. they have tortas, tacos, quesadillas, etc.
2. i had their Mulita - it's a quesadilla w/ a thicker tortilla they make fresh. it was really good - nice change of pace from the regular stuff.
3. it was a bit far for me.. so take Heil street out to beach and hope it cuzs some of the trraffic time.
4. i was the only non-mexican in there.. and they did get quite a few ppl in there for their lunch.
I hit this place up for lunch a couple times. It's damn good.
if i could hit up all the hole in the wall places i love for lunch, i'd be a huge-er lardass and would get fired from work cuz i would take 2 hour lunches followed by a 3 hour nap....
At the Rubios next to my house, every Tuesday is $1 Fish Taco Tuesday. This is retarded. They need to make it Friday so I can observe Lent and throw my money at them instead of some other joint (or, God forbid, cook for myself).

I've tried it. It's alright, nothing to write home about. Frankly Rubio's is nothing to write home either about except at $1 a pop it suddenly tastes a lot better.

you gotta check out this place on mcfadden and I want to say edwards. its in the same little plaza as the donut shop and across the street from the arco station. called grandpas mexican food or something like that. everything is made from scratch and the food is pretty tasty...lot closer too.

ya i been there.. but i wasn't too impressed when i went there. i'll try it again and see how it compares. do they make their own tortillas too? at the one off beach, there's a girl dedicated to only makin fresh tortillas....

This guys speaks the truth. Remember Chester, Ham? I found out about Los Cotijas from him. We used to order from there all the time!!! Hands down the best fish tacos in town imo. Great value as well.

haha ahhh yeah i remember that guy. wonder if he's still stuck in that hell hole. i gotta roll over there one weekend and try it cuz its too far to go for lunch. but yeah that place looks mighty tasty.

la salsa fish tacos...bleeeech. mistake they made was using grilled instead of fried fish. sorry aint' no fish taco unless its fried...guess I can cross wahoo off that list too since they also used grilled fish in their tacos. brother had the steak quesadilla which also tasted like ass.
