Man, that's almost exactly what Bruce Willis said in his interview with Playboy! I just finished the article and he said he liked it just as much if not more than the first one which was his favorite one. At first I thought it was just fluff...like he was trying to hype up the movie just like most actors do anyways, but if you guys are saying it's true, then I think I might fork up the $20 to watch it at the theatres.

I saw it lastnight and I'm wanting to see it again. Seriously, this is a Die Hard movie through and through. It ranks up there with the original, in my honest opinion. Main reason it's not R is because it doesn't have any F bombs except for one of the most famous one liners in movie history.
The action is over the top just like it should be. Bruce Willis didn't change John one bit, he's just as wise cracking as he was in the first doing the usual like talking to himself wondering how he got into it again. It's seriously a great movie and I recommend it to any Die Hard fan. You will not be dissapoinited.

And with a less scathing review...
If you're up for a round of cat-and-mouse, with lots of explosions, and a sense of what armageddon could look like, I would definitely recommend this.
Nothing *ever* lives up to the hopes people have for it. Movies and sequels are no exception.
Go in with expectations to see lots of stuff blow up, and some liberties taken with the computer side of things, and you'll be good to go.
btw, if anyone is interested in the GUIs and window schemes they were using, you'll want to check out Linux and X-Windows (gnome, kde, etc.). I've seen a number of movies use variations on them, and their respective window themes. Antitrust and Live Free or Die Hard are two I can think of off the top of my head.
