wow virtually identical on all performance tests. so close if the driver blinked the results would have been flipped for any of those perfomance tests. huge kudos to ford for finally making a kick ass mustang again. cheaper to buy, cheaper to mod if you want...oh my. next gen m3 better kick some major ass because ford is already bringing the Boss back and if the regular ol 5.0 already matches the current m3, the boss is gonna kill it.

As much as I like Ford, the question also asks which one would be on the road longer?

Based on how many problems my car has had, no question the ford. lol. lets see limp mode at least 10 x's in the past year. limp mode = some sorta engine malfunction where i can't go faster than 50mph and if its really bad i couldn't go faster than 5mph. Its mainly happened while I was puttering around on a side street or a parking lot but it did happen once while i was turning onto a big street. Luckily there was a driveway i could pull into right away. Took the car in and 5 days later they couldn't figure it out...told me they ran diagnostics and the error cleared itself. Happens a few more times, brought the car in for oil and finally they find its a bad vacuum pump. After that so far no limp modes but who knows. Could also be a bad idle control valve since that was the cause of the problem on a lot of cars. There were a couple of threads i've read where it happened to the guy while they were on the freeway. Luckily that hasn't happened to me...yet. The tranny has a pretty bad 2nd gear lag where when i slow down for whatever reason and drop to 2nd gear it lags for a good second after i hit the gas before the car will move. Was almost hit a couple of times making a right turn because the car decided not to move. First year in and it already has all these problems, i'm afraid whats going to happen 4 years down the road.

yar i think i would have a case if i was actually smrt and documented each incident by bringing it to the dealer and having them check it out. but as is its my word vs theirs and since the car runs now i'm sol. ah well, at least its all under warranty so if it breaks again they'll fix it but once the warranty period is over i'm dumping this thing.
