what do you mean by painfully slow? do you mean like bnet lag?

i think the ones where they block you are the novice matches, they should be skippable if you just want to get to the placement matches right away.

The painfully slow/blocked in means you said you are a novice. So you are playing 5 newbie matches at normal speed (not faster). You need to pick the "I'm not a noob, but not a pro" option. Or I think you can just skip out of the newbie stuff.

I ended up in platinum but it's hard to keep up w/ the balance changes. Currently I'm still relearning how to beat Terran & other Protoss. Most Terrans just mass marauders it seems versus Protoss.

Toss doesn't have a good answer to marauders. They can survive a psi storm, eat two passes from a colossus, they can stim, and zealots don't have a chance if the T has enough marines mixed in the back. And there's no toss AtoG that can effectively handle them either. Immortals behind mass zealots maybe?

note to self: mass marauders vs toss.

i've actually been massing marines, marauders, a tank or two, and load them up on some medivacs and hit them asap. "fuck you and your medivacs" was thrown my way by one toss player before he left the game. this also works on 2v2 as well as long as my partners is rushing the front.

i recommend watching orb.teamliquid's livestream. He nerdrages a lot when he loses (mostly to zerg muta/ling) but pretty good overall and plays all the time.
